We work in partnership with the Employment Development Department and I am happy to say that I work in collaboration with a fantastic veteran case manager named Dadisi Elliott. By working together, we are able to help our veterans by providing a consistent message regarding their job search. Most of the time, we are successful in helping them and other at times, we try but are unsuccessful. When we have a veteran that has multiple barriers and we don’t know how to help, we refer them to a veteran organization that provides services that we do not.
The great thing about working in a non-profit is that we have an opportunity to work in partnership with other non-profits. This provides more opportunities to help people achieve success in finding gainful and meaningful employment.
Despite all of the challenges that come along with my job, at the end of the day, helping people believe in themselves and achieve success is absolutely priceless.
When you know your purpose in life and you use your experiences good and bad, you can help others and truly change the world.
Change starts with you and sometimes it truly takes a village of wonderful, caring, intelligent people to help our customers achieve success.
